Rate My Setup examines the creation of personalized, maximalist altars within streaming environments. These altars combine 2D and 3D imagery, simulations, sound, and physical and digital objects. The scale ranges from compact, intimate setups to expansive cityscapes, reflecting the creator’s preferred surroundings.
My work takes inspiration from my family’s daily tea ceremony, a routine that was a consistent part of my upbringing. Using familiar objects such as a teapot, living room cabinets, and ambient lighting, I designed a speculative tea ceremony space. This setup reinterprets a traditional practice by incorporating digital elements, transforming it into an interactive experience.
