Short Archive of My Whitest Day
The book is the collection of documents I gathered during my time as an exchange student in Utah in 2011. The overarching concept of the book revolves around the theme of 'white and black,' reflecting the coldest winter I have ever experienced. This metaphor is embedded in the tone and design of the book, with the cover text evoking the imagery of falling snow.
All the pages are foldable and interconnected, creating a continuous flow. The structure is designed like an accordion, where the reader returns to the beginning after reaching the end. I chose this accordion format because it symbolizes the cyclical nature of travel—departing from a place and eventually returning to it. I felt that this design perfectly captures the essence of my personal journey.
