Sejong Center for the Performing Arts
The Sejong Center for the Performing Arts (Sejong Center) is one of South Korea's most prominent cultural landmarks and a premier hub for the arts. Located in the heart of Seoul, it serves as a venue for diverse performances, exhibitions, and festivals, hosting some of the most significant cultural events in the country.
As part of the design team, I designed promotional posters and leaflets for Sejong Center's major spring and autumn festivals, showcasing diverse cultural programs as well as other plays and musicals.
While Sejong Center has traditionally been perceived as a formal and dignified institution, our design approach aimed to introduce a more inviting and warm visual identity. To achieve this, we incorporated playful and approachable elements such as illustrations of gimbap, origami, and sandwitch, along with a vibrant and vivid color palette. This approach helped to make the institution feel more accessible and engaging to a broader audience.
