Short introduction about legendary musician, Frank Zappa
Frank Zappa was a legendary artist who cannot be described as one thing. He was a guitarist, producer, activist, politician, etc. He was also one of few musicians who went beyond all kinds of genres and created more than 60 albums in his entire life. It’s hard to define what he was or what kind of music he did because he was cross-disciplinary.
I used lines as the main graphic element as a metaphor to express his indefinability. For example, I used strikethrough lines in his name and upper line on his information such as birth date or the album release years. By showing the diverse roles and genres he explored with tiny text boxes all over the pages, I intended to reinforce the book concept and give a rhythmic music feeling.
